Reflections at Keppel Bay breaks new ground for iconic waterfront residences

Work has commenced for Asia's iconic waterfront residences, Reflections at Keppel Bay, with a groundbreaking ceremony held on site today by its developer, Keppel Corporation and property arm, Keppel Land Limited (Keppel Land).
At the ceremony, Mr Teo Soon Hoe, Senior Executive Director and Group Finance Director of Keppel Corporation, announced that the main contract for Reflections at Keppel Bay, worth about $1 billion, has been awarded to Woh Hup. The 1,129-unit premier waterfront development will be completed by 2013.
Mr Teo said, "At Keppel Bay, we are raising the bar to convert this prime and valuable real estate into nothing less than a world-class waterfront development as part of the Sentosa - HarbourFront - Mount Faber Precinct.
"We intend to bring together some of the finest names and brands in the industry to lend their signature quality to our developments at Keppel Bay. That is the reason why we have spared no efforts in going for the best to ensure that the waterfront residences at Reflections at Keppel Bay enjoy the highest quality in terms of fittings and fixtures, installation and features.
"We are therefore happy to announce that we have awarded to Woh Hup the main contract amounting to some $1 billion for Reflections at Keppel Bay.
"Woh Hup, one of Singapore's leading construction companies, has an impressive track record and has won recognition not only for high quality execution and standards but also for its commitment to safety."
The first phase of Reflections at Keppel Bay, comprising some 620 waterfront homes, has been sold out and its second phase is expected to be launched some time this year.
Reflections at Keppel Bay, designed by master architect Daniel Libeskind, will feature six glass towers and 11 villa apartment blocks along a 750-m shoreline, all with commanding views of the waterfront, golf course, parks and Mount Faber.
All the fittings and finishes are meticulously sourced to ensure premium quality - from the finest marble and splendid imported oak to leading designer ware under brand names such German brand Miele, Hansgrohe Axor, Duravit Starck and Kaldewei - each apartment is finely appointed to meet the taste and quality expectations of discerning homeowners.
Award-winning and of Sydney 2000 Olympics' fame - US-based landscape architect, Hargreaves Associates will also create a lush oasis with the expansive grounds in Reflections at Keppel Bay.
The development will look equally spectacular at night, with lighting designed by Lighting Planner Associates, the renowned Japanese lighting specialists engaged to light up the Singapore city skyline and Orchard Road.
